Winter Quarter Classes, beginning on Dec 7th, 9:30 AM:
Option 1: Fundamentals of the Faith, taught by Steve Gruber in Room 13.
It is said that Coach Vince Lombardi began each summer training camp with his NFL veterans and rookies, by standing up in front of the group and holding a football, and stating very seriously, "This, gentlemen, is a football!" His teams were known for having mastered the fundamentals of the game, and for not hurting themselves with penalties. Steve's class will be studying the "fundamentals of the game" this winter, in what is sure to be useful to both the rookies (newer believers) as well as to the veterans (more mature Christians). Thirteen lessons on the basics of Christian doctrine and practice will be helpful both as reminders and challenges for older believers. For new believers it will be a solid jumpstart in the faith. There is a recommended workbook that is available from the church office for $5.00, although it is not required. Basic Curriculum

Option 2: Understanding the Bible, Part IV: New Testament Survey:Epistles, taught by Mark Thompson in Room 4.
Mark will survey the authorship, setting, and broad themes of the New Testament Epistles from Romans to Revelation. This a great class to get a basic grasp on the structure and message of the New Testament. Mark will also be relating the epistles to the appropriate sections of the book of Acts, where possible. Intermediate Curriculum

Option 3: Who are those guys?, taught by Chris Cobb in Fellowship Hall.
Ever wonder who that fellow Abraham is? He keeps popping up in the New Testament, in Romans and Galatians and elsewhere. What's the deal? What did he do? Or have you wondered what's all the fuss about King David? Or Noah? Or Jonah? Chris will be selecting important characters from the Old Testament who are used by the writers of the New Testament, and examining who they are and why the New Testament uses them as it does. Basic Curriculum
