Nothing of eternal consequence happens apart from prayer.

Pastor Cobb heard Jerry Falwell say this frequently, at Liberty Baptist College (now Liberty University), and at Thomas Road Baptist Church. In the thirty years since, the truth of this statement has been demonstrated over and over again. Prayer is our opportunity to call upon God to display His glory through His Son, Jesus Christ, by answering the Kingdom prayers of His people.

What's a Kingdom prayer? It is a prayer that remembers that we are here to serve God and advance His Kingdom, not to enmesh ourselves in comfort and prosperity. It's a prayer that realizes that God's will can include the suffering and difficulties of His people, if by such suffering we can glorify Him by our display of confidence in God's goodness, sovereignty, and kindness.
