In 1994 it was with great sorrow that we learned that Pastor Angliss was suffering with a fatal kidney disease and on November 20, 1997, as Thanksgiving neared, Pastor Angliss lost a long, hard-fought
battle with end stage renal disease.
Pastor Bruce Bryan, who was already on the staff, was then asked to be the Senior Pastor. He remained with the church until 2001. After Pastor Bryan left, Pastor Ralph Gruenberg became the interim pastor. Pastor Gruenberg had a long history of serving as a pastor in New York, and was the Special Projects coordinator for a mission agency. Pastor Gruenberg guided the Board through the search process for a new senior pastor.
